Kometa

Kometa is a collection manager for Plex.

Configuration

To use kometa, it needs to be included in your generated image. Update your build configuration to include it.

Service

A systemd container unit for kometa has been included in automatos-server. This container unit file serves as a baseline and requires additional customizations from the user to run kometa successfully.

Customizations

Environment Variables

The following environment variables are used to configure the kometa container. These values provided are notional. Customize these values to suit your needs.

Timer

The following timer is utilized to periodically invoke kometa to update Plex collections.

Description=Periodically run Kometa to manage collection in Plex

OnBootSec=15min
OnUnitInactiveSec=2h

WantedBy=timers.target

Note

With these customizations, the kometa container will be started 15 minutes after boot and will restart every 2 hours after it has been inactive for that period of time.
